TEACUP YORKIES
Fallacy of Teacup Yorkshire Terriers
Goldenray Champion Yorkies
Ideal Yorkshire Terriers
Be very careful with anyone offering Teacup Yorkies for sale or Teacup Yorkshire Terriers for sale or Mini Yorkies or any other such term. There is no adult Yorkie that will fit in a Teacup. I see people advertising Teacup Yorkies For Sale or Teacup Yorkshire Terriers For Sale and have to laugh as the majority are huge. This has just become nothing more than a selling term to try to sell Yorkie puppies. These are breeders that are breeding Yorkshire Terriers for money. It doesn't matter to them about anything at all but a tiny Yorkie. The quality will not be there, health is unimportant, temperament is unimportant. The only thing important is a tiny Yorkshire Terrier. These Yorkshire Terriers are not as healthy as normal size adult Yorkies, as they are just too tiny for their organs to be normal size. Be very leery of anyone using the terms Teacup, Tiny Specialist, dollfaced, babyfaced, etc. in conjunction with Yorkshire Terrier. This is also part of the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America code of ethics not to use these unethical terms. When looking for a Yorkie, look to someone that breeds for the overall dog, which is a show exhibitor.
Reputable Yorkie breeders occasionally have a tiny Yorkie available. Afterall they are a toy dog. When breeding normal size Yorkies the range varies in the size they produce. A tiny takes a lot of time to take care of. A more normal size Yorkie between 5 and 7 lbs is a really small dog itself but more capable of living in a normal household and not as prone to getting stepped on or having to worry every minute if they ate enough. The tinies can be very prone to hypoglycemia also if they miss meals. Here's some further information about it.
