Just a few items I have in my own Yorkshire Terrier Collection. I'm only showing some of the collection because everyone was always asking for photos of certain pieces of my collection and it was easier just to put them up on the site for others to see some of the items that are available out there that are rare, vintage or antique, for your own collections. Give you are some ideas on things you can add to your list that you may not even know are available or that ever was even made.

You'll notice a lot of items by Kay Finch. A little about her, Kay was a world reknowned California ceramist that has a new collectible book printed each year with updating on the values of her pieces since her pieces are very much in demand, if you'd like more information on her and her work. A little personal history on her though. Not only was she a well known California ceramist but she was also a well known breeder/exhibitor of the Yorkshire Terrier and Afghan Hound which makes her ceramics even more valuable to us, not price wise but because of the shared history with Kay. She not only was a very talented artist but a great lady being very involved over the years with her dogs and the breed clubs. She was very creative and created a great deal of whimsical items. Her dog and cat pieces tend to be extremely sought after today, not just as collectible but because they are so lovely.

Also included here is the very lovely Patsian bronze piece, the Timmy Woods wooden purses which are extra special, the lovely Kaiser from Germany and the breeder/exhibitor pieces by Janet Bennett of Wildweir fame, Terry Shumsky and Bud Priser.

See lots more of my vintage and antique collection here. I have lots of the different Beswick, the beautiful porcelain of Lladro and Armani, which a collection is not complete without those. Continental, Goebel and Merrymac which are fun pieces, Baccarat and Wade, and the wonderful Estee Lauder pieces which are beautiful, Sylvac, the very old retired Steiff stuffy, and the no longer made Bossons, and other antique vintage items for you to be able to see that are too numerous too mention. Some of these items are still available and you should be able to get a few of them from dealer's that carry special collectible animals, but others you will need to seek out the proper resources for obtaining them as you would any other items out there that are not common ones. It's a fun hobby collecting special items and the challenge is part of the fun.
